The granted projects share an ambition to establish and deepen connections and collaborations beyond country borders. In a time of global pandemic and restrictions, the projects show great creativity and ability to think new in terms of development of ideas, methods and constructing collaborations.
The projects represent different artistic and cultural expressions and fields from museums work and design to contemporary circus and installation art. Global discourse and themes are often explored in conjunction with local perspectives and through interdisciplinary working methods and meeting forms.
Even though Globus Opstart - unlike the fund’s other programmes - does not have a requirement of regional co-operation in the Nordic countries, the projects manage to create a completely new definition of Nordic relevance based on global perspectives.
Applications to Globus Opstart can be submitted until 6 December 2020.
