The exhibition is part of the Nordic competition, arranged by The Carlsberg Foundation's Portrait Award, held every other year. The contest intends to stimulate interest in portraits among artists and the public.
With the film The Greenland, the fund has aimed to give a visual and personal point of view to the artist’s inner world and reflections – What does it mean to use nature as your canvas, and how can you bring your artwork to an audience that usually does not see arts and culture?
The film’s focal point is one of Inuk’s latest works, the land art piece ”The Greenland” which is inspired by Greenland's unpredictable and diverse nature. The film develops a deep-going discussion about sustainability in a global context by focusing on the Arctic North in the project’s structures and themes.
The film is produced by Fantom Film
