How Is Energy Created

About the project:
A contemporary circus exploration and research about humans’ abilities to create and consume energy and how humans react to consequences in high stakes situations. With inspiration from sir Issac Newton's "laws of motion", games theory, and physics, the project explores how contemporary circus may provide insight into human behaviour. The project wants to challenge the typical relationship between humans and energy and between circus and the sciences so it is clear that having or not having energy has consequences.

The project aims to research these concepts in a weeklong residency in Denmark, Copenhagen with an international cast from USA, Netherlands, Denmark and Sweden.

Relevance for Globus Opstart:
The theme in the project has potential in terms of building connections with contemporary circus and science. The project includes artists outside the Nordic region which contributes to establishing new global networks and collaboration.
