The Nordic Culture Funds deadlines 2012

There are four deadlines every year with a limit of max. DKK 500,000 per application.

1 February
1 April
1 September
1 October.

The Fund's policy is to provide many small contributions and respond quickly. 80% of the Fund's grants are for less than DKK 100,000. Four deadlines a year will allow the Fund to give applicants very quick replies, and it is precisely this very short response time that is attractive to the projects that typically submit funding applications to the Nordic Culture Fund. A grant from the Fund is often the seal of approval that opens the door to other funding bodies.
 
Improved service
If you apply to the Fund for under DKK 300,000, the changes mean that the vast majority of projects will receive a reply twice as fast as in the past and will be able to start working together on their Nordic cultural projects sooner.  Projects applying for max. DKK 300,000 will receive an answer in 6-10 weeks.
Projects applying for more than DKK 300,000 will, however, only be able to expect an answer in 10-16 weeks.

”The Fund has always provided many smaller grants to a large number of projects and we wish to continue doing that. Our objective is to contribute to as many Nordic cultural partnerships as possible,” director Karen Bue explains.

In 2012, projects will be able to apply for grants of up to DKK 500,000 at each of the stipulated deadlines:

Applications up to DKK 300,000:

	Deadline for application: Decision date 2012: 1. february 2. april 1. april 4. june 1. september  5. november 1. october 3. december

Applications over DKK 300,000:

Application deadline:	Decision date 2012:
1 February and 1 April	4. june
1 September and 1 October	3. december

The maximum grant available to any project is DKK 500,000.The project or specific activities for which the application is made must not have commenced before the board has reached its decision. Web applications are approved up to and including 23:59 hrs on the last application date. We recommend, however, that you submit your application in plenty of time. The secretariat can only answer questions about web applications during normal office hours.
